Michael Brajak

Michael (or Mike) has a passion for understanding businesses and the industries in which they operate.   Vast knowledge and experience has been gained by working with a variety of businesses and cloud based software that meets the individual needs of businesses. Industries in which he has worked with include distribution, hospitality, restaurants, publishing, franchises, construction, and service-based businesses. In addition to his practice, Mike has built a manufacturing / retail business which has provided very practical experience which is transferrable to our clients. Mike was born in Oakville, Ontario and now resides in Freelton with his wife Nicole and their son.  Interests include being an avid sports fan while still playing soccer and travelling new destinations to explore different cultures.

Nicole Brajak

Chief Business Officer

Nicole has over 10 years of experience as a Senior Financial Advisor with a leading Canadian bank.  During this time, she provided strategic financial guidance, advising clients on investments, retirement planning, and risk management to optimize their financial wellbeing. Her strong analytical skills and expertise in financial planning have made her a trusted advisor, supporting individuals and businesses in achieving their financial goals.

 

Nicole holds a Business Administration Accounting Diploma, graduating with honors, and a postgraduate certificate in Financial Planning, where she was recognized as a Scholar. She has also worked across diverse industries, including fitness and restaurants, demonstrating her adaptability and broad understanding of different business environments. This versatile experience positions Nicole as a dynamic leader, leveraging her financial acumen and industry knowledge to drive business strategy and growth.

 

Outside of her professional life, Nicole is passionate about spending time with family and friends and exploring new travel destinations. She values meaningful connections and experiences, which fuel her dedication to achieving both personal and professional success.

Kathy Cooper

Senior Accountant, CAS

Kathy is a versatile accounting professional with expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial analysis, and inventory management. She began her academic journey by earning a diploma in Business Administration and Marketing Management and later expanded her skills with an Accounting Practitioner Certificate and Canadian Payroll Administration Level I certification. Kathy’s diverse professional experience spans multiple industries, including Packaging, Philanthropy, Fitness, and Telecommunications, showcasing her ability to adapt and contribute to various business environments.

 

In addition to her financial background, Kathy managed group fitness programs and pursued her passion for health by obtaining a diploma as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. Her well-rounded expertise reflects her commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.

 

Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Kathy now resides in Kingsville, Ontario, Canada’s southernmost town. She is a proud mother of two grown boys and thrives on balancing her professional life with her hobbies, which include rock climbing, reading, cross-stitching, and everything Marvel-related. Guided by her personal motto, “Never be afraid to change; life is an adventure, seize it to make it so,” Kathy embraces new opportunities and encourages others to do the same.

Mukta is a Chartered Accountant with over six years of experience specializing in monthly accounting services, audit, taxation, and strategic planning. Her professional journey is marked by a keen focus on tax matters and financial planning. Mukta has vast experience across various industries and is keen on managing client engagements.

 

Mukta is known for her proactive approach to optimizing processes through automation and continuous improvement, ensuring efficiency and precision in her work. Her dedication to refining processes underscores her commitment to delivering high-quality financial services.

 

Outside of her professional life, Mukta enjoys travelling, exploring new recipes, practicing meditation, and playing badminton. These interests fuel her balanced lifestyle and contribute to her adaptable and energetic work ethic.

Laura Spagnuolo

Manager, Compliance

Laura, Compliance Manager for MB Accounting

Laura is a CPA and has spent over 20 years in public accounting, working closely with clients across a variety of industries. Her work covers a wide range of accounting services, including financial reporting, audits, and tax for individuals and businesses.

What she’s always loved most about the work is the problem-solving—connecting the dots and putting the pieces together, much like solving a puzzle. Over the years, she’s mentored CPA students as they built confidence through real-world experience, passing on that same mindset.

When she’s not working, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors with her dogs, or unwinding with a good puzzle.
